After a sold out premier at the Milwaukee Rep, this hilarious comedy moved to New York where it was the winner of two Obie awards and Outer Circle Critics awards including that for Best New American Play. It is the story of a group of devious characters who must deal with a stranger who (they think) speaks no English. The fact that he understands all the overheard conversation and plotting fuels the non-stop hilarity of the play and sets up the wildly funny climax in which things go uproariously awry for the “bad guys”, letting the “good guys” emerge triumphant.
