A moving comedy from one of Russia’s most engaging authors, this is the story of a woman named Natalya who competes with her young ward for the affections of the vibrant tutor of her son. The play is rich with Turgenev’s wry sensibilities which are made to seem very fresh through this clever translation by one of the Theatre’s most gifted contemporary playwrights.
