The Office of Admission will review your application file once we have received all required parts of your application. Complete files are reviewed for admission during the semester prior to the indicated entry term.



Completing the Online Application

Saint Louis University encourages students to apply using the free online application.


CREATE AN ACCOUNT
Access the online application and follow the prompts to create a username and password; when answering the "Application for Admission" question, select one of the transfer options. In determining which transfer status applies to your situation, you should take into account those college credit hours you have attempted, or are in the process of attempting, at the time of your application.

Confirmation of your registration will be sent to you via e-mail at the address provided. If you are returning to an existing application, enter your username and password in the "Returning Users" section. If you do not remember your password, click the "Forgot Your Password" link.

COMPLETE AND SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
Complete each section of the application thoroughly. Click the "Save and Next" button at the bottom of each page to save your progress. Required questions are marked with an asterisk. You will see a confirmation page and receive a confirmation e-mail once your application has been submitted successfully.

ADD THE SLU.EDU DOMAIN TO YOUR E-MAIL SAFE LIST
This will ensure receipt of important updates from SLU throughout the application and enrollment process.



Submitting Required Documents


Applicants must request that official copies of all required transcripts be sent directly to the Office of Admission. Required transcripts vary as follows:


DEGREE SEEKING APPLICANT WITHOUT A BACHELOR'S DEGREE:

College Transcripts
Official copies of transcripts from every college or university previously attended are required.  This includes original transcripts for college-level coursework completed during high school even if those courses also appear as transferred-in credit on a later transcript. 

High School Transcript
An official high school transcript is required only of those students who have attempted fewer than 24 transferable semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) of college credit or have graduated from high school within a year of their SLU entry term. ACT or SAT results, sent by the testing agency are also required.

ACT and/or SAT Test Scores
Official ACT and/or SAT test scores are required only of those students who have attempted fewer than 24 semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) of college credit and who graduated from high school less than five years ago.  Test scores must be sent electronically to Saint Louis University from the testing agency. Scores reported on a high school transcript will not be considered as official. 


DEGREE SEEKING APPLICANT WITH A BACHELOR'S DEGREE:

Only an official copy of the transcript showing completion of the bachelor's degree is required.


FORMER SLU STUDENT (READMIT APPLICANT):

College Transcripts
Official copies of transcripts from every college or university attended since enrollment at Saint Louis University are required. Any former SLU student who has not been enrolled at the University for two or more consecutive semesters, including the summer term, must reapply for admission. Students readmitted are not eligible for SLU-based scholarships or grants. 


PLEASE NOTE:  Only official copies of transcripts will be accepted by the University.  Unofficial transcripts, photocopies, faxes and printouts from student information Web sites will not be accepted.  In almost all cases, transcripts should be sent to SLU directly from the college or university issuing the transcript.  Hand-delivered transcripts will be accepted only if they are official copies in an envelope that is under official seal by the issuing college or university.
