Saint Louis University has a variety of campus visit options to accommodate your needs and fit your schedule. We invite you to explore our beautiful, urban campus and welcoming community with your family. We want you to feel like our guest; let us know if you’d like to see the residence halls, meet with a faculty member, chat with a Jesuit or even sit down one-on-one with a current student. Check out all the options below. If you have any questions, our visit assistants are available Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at 800-SLU-FOR-U or you can email them at visitslu@slu.edu any time.

Individual Visits and Billiken-for-a-Day

Visit SLU on your own schedule. Options can include an academic or services meeting, information session, admission interview, campus tour, an overnight stay and/or the opportunity to attend classes with a current student.

Saturday Visits

Can’t visit during the week? We choose one “select” Saturday every month for your busy schedule. This event includes a presentation on admission, academics, student life, financial aid and more! You’ll also meet some current students and you can ask them anything in a panel setting. The visit concludes with a tour of campus.

Countdown to College

Summer is a great time to start thinking about college! The Countdown to College event provides high school students of all grade levels the chance to jump start the college search. This half-day visit to SLU's campus includes general information sessions and tips on planning your college search, the admission and application process, decoding and debunking college myths, living on campus, careers & internships, and more. Rising high school seniors will have the opportunity to hear advice from admission counselors on starting the application process, and of course, all that SLU has to offer, too!

Summer Presentations

During the summer, SLU will be visiting select cities across the United States. If you would like to learn more about SLU, click here to see if we will be visiting a nearby city to you.

Summer Send-Offs

Summer Send-Off events are for new SLU students and their families. This is a chance for you to meet other students from your area. In addition, SLU admission counselors will be available to answer any questions. Local SLU alumni will also be there to talk about their SLU experiences. Click on the city to register for that event. Special Visits

Perspectives: An Overnight Campus Visit Experience: Sept. 18-19

Are you ready to be a difference-maker in today’s world? Interested in exploring the many perspectives of the Billiken experience? During this overnight visit, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with faculty and staff that understand your experience and way of learning
  • Participate in dialogue with current students of diverse cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds; hear their personal stories of transition and self-development
  • Learn how SLU helps students build bridges through diversity and inclusion
  • Attend an in-session class with current first-year students
  • Eat a meal at a campus dining hall, just like first-year students
  • Tour the SLU campus, including Simon Recreation Center and our first-year residence halls
  • Stay overnight in a residence hall with a current student

Preview Day: Monday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 6

Join us for an open house event where you will have the opportunity to meet faculty and staff, hear from current students, and attend a Resources and Information Fair featuring representatives from Pre-Law, Pre-Med, and other offices across campus. Admission counselors will be available for on-campus interviews. The October date will also feature an exclusive talk by Rob Franek, author of "The Best 380 Colleges." For The November date, you will even have the option to stay overnight in a residence hall!

Cultural Connections: Saturday, Jan. 21

Join us at Saint Louis University and see what SLU is all about! From a campus tour to an interactive student panel, you'll get an inside glimpse to the cultural diversity of the Billiken experience. Founded in the Jesuit mission, our University is committed to fostering an inclusive environment. SLU welcomes and celebrates all expressions of diversity and social identities, and our Cultural Connections program aims to show prospective Billikens all of the outstanding opportunities that SLU has to offer. This year, Cultural Connections will feature our Multicultural Student Organizations and Services Fair where you will learn about the many ways in which you can get involved and explore your passions at SLU. You will have the opportunity to attend an application review, which will help to ensure that you submit a strong college application, and a financial aid session that will help to answer your questions about becoming a Billiken. Also available will be information on our Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship - a scholarship that is open to all students and is awarded to those individuals that share SLU's passion for the promotion of social justice. So join us for our Cultural Connections program and see if SLU is the right fit for you! From our admission presentation and campus tour to our multicultural student organization fair, you'll see how SLU celebrates a unique and inclusive student body.

Admitted Student Lunch: Sunday, Feb. 5 or Saturday, April 22

This Saturday visit offers admitted students a unique, in-depth look at SLU! From touring our freshman residence halls to interacting with current students and staff, future Billikens will see what life is really like on campus. Eat lunch in the Griesedieck cafeteria, speak to faculty members about the major you've been admitted to, and learn about the next steps in the enrollment process. Parents, we didn't forget about you! You will attend special information sessions about financing a SLU education and the support available to your sons and daughters to help them along the journey to commencement.

Registrations will open on Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 28

Admitted Student Day: Monday, Feb. 27 and Monday, April 10

Are you ready to be a Billiken? SLU is definitely ready for you! This high energy campus visit maximizes your time on campus and helps make that difficult college decision as seamless as possible. The optional overnight stay on Sunday allows admitted students to experience life in our residence halls and get a taste of the fun and excitement on our campus. Bond with current students as you listen to one of SLU's award winning acapella groups, attend the Sunday evening student mass in St. Francis Xavier College Church, and experience a typical night on SLU's campus. On Monday, students will attend an actual class while parents learn more about financing a SLU education and support services on campus. Students and parents come together to meet with a representative from your declared major, as well as learn more about special programs, including Honors, Pre-Med, Pre-Law, study abroad, and much more!

Registrations will open on Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 28

Transfer Open House: Wednesday, March 22

No matter where you started your education, SLU is a great place to finish it. This open house for admitted and prospective transfer students offers an in-depth look at the academic and social opportunities on SLU's campus. Learn more about the transfer admission process and meet the transfer admission counselor who will guide you through the steps to becoming a Billiken!

Junior Visit Day: Monday, April 24

The college search process can be overwhelming, so it's never too early to start preparing and SLU is here to help! This event for high school juniors offers an overview of the college application process and a detailed look at SLU. You can take a tour of campus and meet with an admission counselor to discuss all the academic and social opportunities that await you on our beautiful, urban campus.

Registration will open on Tuesday, Feb. 28

Please Note: In an effort to show our guests a more realistic view of residence halls at SLU, we use rooms that are occupied by current students. We want to ensure and respect our students' privacy and busy schedules; therefore, residence hall tours are limited during move-in or move-out days, or near holidays and school breaks. Residence hall tours are also limited during the summer due to scheduled maintenance. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask a visit assistant.
