Women's and Gender Studies aspires to examine women's experiences - their bodies, psychology, history, ways of thinking, and styles of communication and leadership. We offer engaging courses that develop out of multicultural perspectives to enable students to become more reflective about their own lives and the lives of those around them.
The department works to enhance communication between people of all genders and to prepare students for careers in healthcare, education, business, publishing, journalism, law, social services, public government service, and the arts.
More and more employers are now looking for job candidates who have thought deeply about issues of gender and discrimination and who exhibit strong critical thinking skills. A degree in Women's and Gender Studies can be a huge asset when applying for a job or internship!
