Saint Louis University Women's and Gender Studies Degree Overview 

Open to both men and women, Saint Louis University's undergraduate degree program in women's and gender studies teaches you to reflect on questions of ethics and justice as you study women, gender, families and communities.

Students delve into feminist theory, methodologies and strategies of interpretation and explore the situations of women in different world cultures and in ethnic groups within the United States. You'll examine both modern issues surrounding women's and gender studies and the historical contributions of women in building nations and cultures.

What You'll Learn in SLU's Women's and Gender Studies Degree Program

Women and gender studies courses at SLU analyze women's experiences with regard to their bodies, psychology, history, history, ways of thinking, and styles of communication and leadership.

Coursework focuses on women and gender across the curriculum of arts and sciences and includes professional schools such as nursing, law and social work. You'll pay particular attention to the issues of ethnicity, class and sex, as well as how differences between men and women structure our society. You'll also have the chance to work one-on-one with a faculty member who will mentor you as you complete a capstone course in women's and gender studies.
