PRIORITY DEADLINE FOR ADMISSION CONSIDERATIONBecause of the time necessary to review files for admission, evaluate credits for transferability and register new transfer students for classes, fall term applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a completed Application for Transfer Admission by March 1. A completed application includes the following items:
Submitting an application by March 1 provides students with the suggested amount of time to finalize their enrollment before the start of the fall semester. However, applications received after the March 1 priority deadline will continue to be given admission consideration for fall admission as long as time permits.
PRIORITY DEADLINE FOR SCHOLARSHIP CONSIDERATIONTo be considered for University scholarships, the completed Application for Transfer Admission (required components listed above) must be submitted by March 1. Applications submitted after this deadline will be given scholarship consideration based on availability of funds.
PRIORITY DEADLINE FOR FILING THE FAFSA
Filing the FAFSA between Jan. 1 and March 1 is strongly encouraged to be considered for need-based financial aid programs. Please note that you may have already filed the FAFSA earlier in the year; if so, please go back and have your FAFSA submitted to Saint Louis University. SLU's FAFSA school code is 002506.
Filing the FAFSA is not required to ensure or maintain eligibility for merit-based scholarship. Filing the FAFSA is, however, required to be considered for need-based University, federal and state financial assistance programs.
PREFERRED DEADLINE FOR HOUSING APPLICATION, CONTRACT
Admitted students who desire University housing must submit their housing application, contract and $450 enrollment deposit ($200 that is refundable until May 1) by May 1. Because housing cannot be guaranteed, students are encouraged to submit the completed housing application well in advance of the May 1 deadline.
Housing is assigned on a priority basis according to the date when the completed housing application, contract and deposit are received by the University. Instructions on how to apply for housing are included along with notification of admission.
