I am absolutely delighted to be at Saint Louis University, serving as Dean of the School for Professional Studies. What a great opportunity to use my career-long experience working with non-traditional adult students who are seeking to advance their own skills and expertise through our for-credit and non-credit programs. I especially value the Jesuit foundation for our work that focuses on development of the whole person, including the intellect, the affect, and the spirit. For me, this is an important foundation for bringing about a thoughtful, reflective, and positive transformation in our world.
To give you a bit of my background, I have a Ph.D. in Education and more than 19 years of experience in higher education-working with military and civilian students coming back to school for a promotion, a career change, or to achieve a lifelong dream. Approximately 11 of these years include progressive administrative experience as a program coordinator, graduate programs director, department chair, and research center director. My teaching interests include organizational needs assessment, training systems management, and research methods.
The faculty and staff at the School for Professional Studies are a most impressive group, committed to our vision for students' success in fulfilling their professional goals. At SLU, we want to be a premier, innovative, global source for education that meets the needs of adult learners and working students. We are indeed a professional school, preparing students for a variety of career opportunities. I am honored to be here and part of that vision. Please let me know how I can help you!
