Radiation Therapy Program
Welcome from the Program Director
Welcome to the Radiation Therapy Program at Saint Louis University. I appreciate the opportunity to share our website with you so you can discover the exciting profession of radiation therapy and all it has to offer.
Radiation therapy is a field in which the radiation therapist prepares and treats already diagnosed cancer patients with high energy radiation using highly specialized equipment. The radiation therapist helps plan and administer prescribed doses of radiation to affected anatomy as directed by a radiation oncologist. This profession combines the great satisfaction of helping people during a difficult time in their lives with high technology equipment and sophisticated scientific techniques.
Our program offers several curricula to choose from, each designed to meet the needs of incoming freshmen, transfer students, and second-degree applicants. Each curriculum has a lot to offer, maximizing the skills of each individual student.
The Radiation Therapy Program believes in developing graduates that are highly skilled professionals, dedicated to the art and science of radiation therapy, with a love of life-long learning and a desire to give the best care to the patient population we serve. We are excited about our opportunities at Saint Louis University and would like to share our expertise with you. Thank you for your interest in the Radiation Therapy Program.
