Dr. Cropf received his Masters in Public Administration and PH.D. in Public Administration from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He also has a BA in Political Science from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He has either authored or co-authored several articles on electronic government and electronic democracy. His American Public Administration: Public Service in the Twenty First Century was published by Pearson-Longman in 2008.He is also working on two monographs, one on electronic governance to be published by IGI Global as part of their Advances in Knowledge Communities and Social Networks book series, and the other, with Dr. Jennifer Kohler (SLU School of Professional Studies), a public administration casebook to be published by Pearson-Longman. He also writes articles on national and local economic and political issues for the St. Louis Beacon, St. Louis' online news publication. He has been department chair sinc 2006.
