The Certificate program is an interdisciplinary clinical program that enables M.A. or doctoral graduates, in a mental health or related health profession field, to increase their knowledge and skills in couple and family therapy. Coursework ranges from 15 to 33 credit hours, depending on previous coursework. Students may select courses that focus on the requirements for licensure as a marriage and family therapist. Practicum hours are earned at various community sites including the department's clinic, the Center for Counseling and Family Therapy (CCFT).
Applications for the MFT certificate are not being accepted at this time. The certificate program is under evaluation and possible revision and a moratorium on admissions has been placed on the program until further notice.
