Students, with the advice and counsel of their mentors, may opt to pursue the Ed.D. or the Ph.D. The Ph.D. is more research intensive and is appropriate for those interested in a teaching position or academic administration.
The Ed.D. program consists of 38 credits beyond the master's degree, including the submission of a doctoral project. Ed.D. students take three post baccalaureate research courses. In addition to the formal research courses taken in the program, students research and write papers for all graduate courses.
