Saint Louis University Biology Program Overview
Saint Louis University offers both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. You can further customize your degree by choosing from up to five tracks of study, including biological science; plant science; ecology, evolutionary and organismal biology; cell biology and physiology and molecular biology.
SLU biology students take their studies beyond the limits of the classroom, with experiences at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, as well as nearby Missouri Botanical Garden
, Donald Danforth Plant Science Center
and the Saint Louis Zoo
What You'll Learn in SLU's Biology Program
SLU's department of biology has a field station for research and teaching that provides unique opportunities for you to explore ecology and conservation biology through hands-on experiments and undergraduate research.
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology choose from tracks in biological science, plant science or the ecology, evolutionary or organismal biology.
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in biology have their choice of the above tracks, as well as the cell biology and physiology or molecular biology tracks of study.
