Overview: The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science has a seventy-five year history of excellence in the education of laboratory scientists. The B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science curriculum provides a strong science background, medically applied courses and a clinical practicum. Careers in the field: One-hundred percent of our employment seeking graduates are typically placed within three months of graduation. Career opportunities include diagnostic testing in a hospital or commercial laboratory, laboratory managing, industrial research, pharmaceutical company sales and marketing, bio-analyzing for government agencies (e.g. Centers for Disease Control or National Institutes of Health) or progressing to graduate or professional schools (e.g. medicine or public health).
