Saint Louis University Finance Program OverviewSaint Louis University's undergraduate concentration in finance prepares you for a successful career in finance in the ever-increasing global economy. In addition to gaining professional finance knowledge, you will develop strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, decision-making and electronic spreadsheet skills for success in today's business environment.
Through the management of $500,000 in University endowment funds, seniors in the John Cook School of Business's finance program gain hands-on experience evaluating common stocks as investments and in the fiduciary management of investment assets.
What You'll Learn in SLU's Finance ProgramTwo tracks are available to you if you pursue SLU's undergraduate degree in finance, which prepare you to be either a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFA). Both tracks consist of a mix of finance and accounting courses. You will also choose from electives including:
- Real Estate
- International Financial Management
- Applied Portfolio Management
- Financial Markets and Institutions
- Financial Analysis and Modeling
You will also have many internship opportunities, most of which are paid and many of which may earn academic credit.
