Saint Louis University Theological Studies Degree OverviewSaint Louis University's undergraduate degree program in theological studies approaches the interrelationship of God with humanity and basic life questions from an academic perspective. You'll gain a foundation in theology and Catholicism within a global context, as well as examine the Judeo-Christian tradition and other world religions, traditions and social realities.
You'll also have access to SLU's Center for Digital Humanities, which creates multimedia and electronic products that support research and teaching in theological studies. The center's research focuses on preserving historical artifacts that have significant religious or theological meaning.
What You'll Learn in SLU's Theological Studies Degree ProgramCoursework within SLU's theological studies degree program addresses social and moral issues with a focus on theology and history, faith and reason, and Christian morality and society. You'll examine both the New and Old Testaments, and choose from courses in both Hebrew and Christian scripture.
Additional coursework explores the development of Christianity in early, medieval and modern contexts, theological ethics, and spirituality.
