Women's and Gender Studies Graduate Minor
The Graduate Minor in Women's and Gender Studies provides graduate students the opportunity to integrate the study of women and gender issues into their chosen field of study. The nine graduate level credit hours required include the Feminist Theory course (offered in the fall), the Feminist Epistemologies course (spring semester), and a graduate level course that is cross-listed with Women's Studies.
All graduate students, regardless of whether they are earning a minor or not, are welcome to enroll in the required classes. If you would like to enroll in the Minor Program, fill out the Graduate Minor Application Form & stop by the Women's and Gender Studies Program Office.
Women's and Gender Studies Graduate Minor Requirements:WSTD 501- Feminist Theory (3 cr. hours) WSTD 502- Feminist Epistemology (3 cr. hours)Graduate elective course cross-listed with Women's Studies (3 cr. hours)
**Students should check the Women's and Gender Studies 'Course Offerings' page for current classes.
*If a graduate class is not already cross-listed as a Women's and Gender Studies course, it is possible to request permission for it to count towards the elective requirement.
*To receive a graduate minor students must be enrolled in another graduate program. Any graduate student interested in the required courses may take them as long as they have the approval of their department or program.
