Saint Louis University's nursing faculty are nationally recognized for their teaching expertise, nursing leadership, scholarly research and student mentorship. Students learn from faculty who are expert teachers and clinicians who excel in their nursing specialty areas and in nursing education. All nursing faculty are master's-prepared; the majority are doctorally-prepared.
Throughout the years, School of Nursing faculty have played a pivotal role in advancing the growing field of nursing research. Current faculty research focuses on measures to test feeding tube placement, sustaining exercise in middle age and elderly, falls and fear of falling, adolescent mothers, asthma and pain in children, dance therapy, autism, sleep, pediatric palliative care, natural disasters, taste post-cancer and other topics.
