Natural Family Planning (NFP)?
Natural Family Planning is a general term that refers to various methods that have been developed to help women and men determine the fertile and infertile times of a woman's menstrual cycle. These methods can be used to achieve or avoid pregnancy.
WHAT ARE THE
Benefits of Natural Family Planning?
|Evidence shows NFP to be 97-98% effective in avoiding pregnancy when taught by a qualified teacher and correctly applied.|
Natural Family Planning Method
The Marquette Model
As a truly modern method of NFP, the Marquette Model brings 21st century technology to NFP by using the ClearPlan Fertility Monitor. This monitor, when used at home, measures hormone levels in urine to pinpoint ovulation. The information from this monitor is then used in conjunction with observations of cervical mucus or basal body temperature to confidently determine the woman's fertile times.
|For couples experiencing infertility, 40% achieve pregnancy within one year through teaching and charting alone.|
