- Grant Transmittal and Tracking Forms - Both the School of Nursing and the Health Sciences Center of the University require the completion of transmittal forms for all applications for external funding. The School of Nursing form requires documentation of budget review, research director review, and status regarding Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Animal Care Committee submission, as appropriate. For access to the School of Nursing form and instructions for its completion, School of Nursing faculty should consult the Nursing Intranet and nursing doctoral students should turn to the Current Student web page of the PhD program. - Institutional Review Board (IRB) - assures that research on human subjects is planned and carried out in accordance with ethical principles and federal regulations. The IRB is required to review research projects prior to the initiation of any research involving human subjects. Documentation of the successful completion of an approved educational program on protecting research subjects must be on file with the IRB before research on human subjects can be conducted. - Animal Care Committee - reviews the proposed use of laboratory animals in all research and funding proposals at Saint Louis University.
