Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
David Heimburger is vice president and chief financial officer for Saint Louis University. He is responsible for all business and finance operations of the University. In his role as CFO, Heimburger oversees a number of University departments and areas, including:
- Audit Services
- Budget and Planning
- Medical Center Finance Office
- Parking and Card Services
- Real Estate
- Risk Management
- Treasury and Investments
Heimburger joined the University in 2009 as director of financial planning and budget. He was then promoted to controller in January 2011. During his time at SLU, Heimburger has provided oversightof the University-wide budgetary process to ensure that it reflected the University's mission and vision. He has also worked to strengthen the University's financial position through a focus on incremental revenue generation, expense management and improved operating efficiency.
Prior to joining the University, Heimburger spent more than two decades at Anheuser-Busch and A-B InBev, where he served in multiple capacities, including executive assistant to the vice presidentand controller, as well as senior manager of employee benefits.
A SLU alumnus, Heimburger earned his degree in business administration from the University in1985. He also is a Certified Public Accountant.
