Program in Physical Therapy
Doctor of Physical Therapy Curriculum
Saint Louis University's freshman entry Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) curriculum takes six years, including two summers. Students receive a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (BSES) after completion of the first four years, and the DPT degree after successful completion of the additional two post-baccalaureate years. Elective courses in the physical therapy curriculum and clinical exposure help students gain advanced knowledge and skills in specialty areas. In addition to the DPT program, students pursue minors and double majors.
A unique feature of Saint Louis University's Program in Physical Therapy is that you are admitted directly into the program as a freshman. After enrolling, you will continue in the program without additional application procedures as long as the academic and professional requirements are met.
