This course explores the various functions that comprise the complex task of learning. Theories of development, motivation, intelligence, information processing, learning styles, behaviorism and problem solving are presented, and personal and environmental factors associated with academic and workplace success are examined. Application of course content enables students to use a variety of resources to become more self-directed, effective and efficient learners.
