Devin Johnston was raised in North Carolina and went to school in Ohio and Chicago. He has published four books of poetry, a book of essays on the natural world, and a critical study of the occult in contemporary American poetry. His next book, Far-Fetched: Poems, is forthcoming from Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2015. With Michael O'Leary, he directs Flood Editions (www.floodeditions.com), a nonprofit publishing house for poetry, short fiction, and art.
