Office of Student Responsibility and Community Standards > Behavioral Concerns Committee
The BCC reviews cases with students that display behavioral concerns which may pose imminent harm to self, others, or the community. The BCC consist of staff representatives who work with the student to develop a course of action that will best suite their needs as well as balance the needs of the University community. Examples of situations which may be referred to the BCC could include suicidal ideation/attempts, disordered patterns of eating, cutting and self mutilation as well as other similar behaviors. The Dean of Students, or Deans designee, chairs this committee and works with University faculty, Student Health and Counseling, Disability Services and the Office of Student Conduct to coordinate student care.
