You can choose any major and be part of the pre-professional health studies program.
Because professional schools do not require you to major in biology, choose a major that meets your interests and goals. Just make sure your chosen major will provide you with a knowledge base for several career alternatives. You can view a list of majors within the various colleges at SLU through the Undergraduate Course Catalog.
Beginning in 2015, the MCAT will include material relative to psychology, sociology, research methodology and biochemistry. If this content is not included in the requirements of your major, please contact our office in to obtain assistance in accessing such classes.
You can always make an appointment with a counselor in Career Services to discuss alternative careers.
