Required Immunizations & Information
All incoming students are required to have the following immunizations:
- A tetanus vaccine within the last 10 years
- Two measles vaccines or one MMR and one measles vaccine
- Two varicella vaccines
- Complete Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire (test only if need indicated by questionnaire).
Proof of these immunizations needs to be given to the SHCS staff by August 1 for the Fall semester, December 1 for the Spring semester, and May 1 for the Summer semester. A hold may be placed on your registration if we do not receive your immunization records.
Some students may be exempt from this due to age or religion. Please call us at (314) 977-2323 with any questions about these requirements.
School of Professional Studies (SPS) students are only required to fulfill the Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire (test only if need indicated by questionnaire).
Distance learners who will not be taking any portion of their classes on campus do not have to complete immunization requirements.
The Immunization Form is mandatory and must be completed and submitted to Student Health and Counseling Services prior to start of year.
Please note that the following programs have additional immunization requirements:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Medical School
- Physician Assistant Program
