The Club Rowing Team was founded in 2001. We practice five days a week on Creve Coeur Lake from the end of August until the beginning of November during the Fall semester; and from mid-March through the beginning of May during the Spring semester. When we are not on the water, we are inside Simon Recreation Center training on the indoor rowing machines. We travel to regattas in the South and Midwest regions of the U.S., specifically to cities like Omaha, Chattanooga, Topeka, and Rockford, just to name a few. We are very competitive and have brought back many medals from both Head and Sprint style races. Every year, during the University's Spring Break holiday, we travel to Cocoa Beach, Florida, and train there for the entire week. We are open to all students, faculty, and staff of the University. No prior experience with rowing is necessary. We will teach you everything you need to know! In fact, the majority of the rowers on the team had no experience with the sport until they came to SLU. Give us a try today!
