Out of Class Testing (OCT) Information
Out of Class Testing (OCT) is an optional service available to instructors of students who have been previously approved for exam accommodations by Disability Services.
In order to schedule an OCT at the Frost Campus Testing Center in Beracha Hall, the student must first consult with the instructor, whose permission is required for the student to take the exam at the Testing Center. With instructor permission, the student must complete and submit to the Testing Center an OCT form by the appropriate notification deadlines for each exam to be taken. All OCT forms need to be in the testing center five (5) business days prior to the date of the test/exam.
Students who desire to take an exam at the Testing Center but who do not have permission of the instructor may either follow the recommendations of the instructor or consult with Disability Services regarding exam accommodation concerns.
Completed OCT forms may be emailed to email@example.com or may be dropped at the secured drop box located next to the door of the Frost Campus Testing Center in Beracha Hall Rm. 108.
More detailed information on the OCT scheduling process can be found within the OCT Procedures information located in the box to the left. The OCT scheduling form and OCT deadline information can also be found in the box to the left.
Please note that, because the Testing Center is an optional supportive resource, exams cannot be scheduled earlier or later than the hours of operation. For exams that need to occur earlier or later than 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, course instructors will need to either proctor the exam within the department or adjust the time of the exam to fit within the hours of operation.
