Treatment at Dental Specialties
Information for Patients
Hundreds of people become patients at Dental Specialties of Saint Louis University each year. Through the Center for Advanced Dental Education (CADE), Dental Specialties offers advanced dental care for children and adults at a lower cost than most dental practices. (We do not perform general dentristry.) Treatment is provided by residents who are already accomplished dentists, but are undertaking advanced studies to become specialists in orthodontics, endodontics or periodontics. All work is supervised by CADE's clinical faculty.
Dental Specialties' orthodontic facilities include the Kesling Orthodontic Clinic with 42 patient care stations, two private screening stations, and four consultation rooms. Periodontics and endodontics share a separate clinic with 15 patient treatment stations in a semi-open bay. In addition to the clinics, there is a full service radiology-imaging section.
