TRANSFERmations is a 6-week program designed specifically for transfer students entering during the Fall semester. The program is led by 6 former transfer students, these students will plan events, answer questions, and be a mentor to transfer students entering during the Fall semester.
Students can learn more information about the program in a variety of ways: they will recieve e-mails from their assigned Transfer Mentor, they will receive the weekly TRANSFERMATIONS TIMES (a newsletter just for transfers), and/or they can come to the website to get the latest updates.

Learning Outcomes for the TRANSFERmations Program:
• Students participating in the TRANSFERmations Program will gain an understanding of the opportunities and resources available to them specifically at SLU.
• Students participating in the TRANSFERmations Program will develop a supportive peer group by connecting with new and returning transfer students through social programming.
• Students who participate in the TRANSFERmations Program will make informed decisions regarding their involvement in the SLU community.
• Students participating in the TRANSFERmations Program will learn how to lead a healthy balanced lifestyle as demonstrated by the Transfer Mentor and by attending wellness programs.

Fall 2012 Schedule
Welcome Week is provided for all students who are entering their first year at Saint Louis University. The week is filled with many great events to provide students with the opportunity to learn about resources at Saint Louis University and to meet many new people and make new friends. We encourage ALL students to attend all of the events but the following two events have been created just for transfer students. TRANSFERmation Mentors and Oriflamme leaders will meet up before every Welcome Week event in order to provide an opportunity for transfer students to attend all of the events together.
Transfer Student Orientation
At orientation students will receive information about Welcome Week activities, learn about opportunities and resources for transfer students, hear from past transfer students, and meet your Oriflamme and TRANSFERmation Mentors!
Transfer Student Cookout
Come and enjoy a cookout with current and past SLU transfer students. Get a chance to talk to past transfer students informally. This will also be a time to prepare for the Sprit Competition, create signs, paint faces, and get spirited for the game!
Grand Center Street Party
Billikens After Dark invites you to join us at the biggest party of the year! Join your friends and walk over to Strauss Park located directly across from the Fox Theatre and enjoy the annual Grand Center Street Party. Have a blast dancing to live music, competing in various carnival games and competitions, and enjoying food samples from different Grand Center restaurants. Be sure to snap a photo with your Oriflamme group in the free photo booth, too!
Welcome Back Week is a fun filled week of activities for all of the students at Saint Louis University. There are events planned for every day of the week but below we have highlighted the events that we think would be most beneficial for incoming transfer students. We encourage you to attend as many of the Welcome Back Week events as possible. The TRANSFERmation Mentors will meet up before every event in order to provide an opportunity for transfer students to attend events together.
SLU Fair: Get the Scoop on Student Involvement
Get involved on campus! Come to the SLU Fair to find out about opportunities to get involved in the 140+ student involvement opportunities on campus.
SAB: Marvel's The Avengers
Iron Man, Thor, and The Hulk invite you to check out Marvel's The Avengers. Bring your blankets and pillows. This is a SLU tradition you don't want to miss! Sponsored by the Student Activities Board.
BBQ with Transfer Learning Community
Take this opportunity to relax with your peers, play yard games, and enjoy a cookout together provided by the TRANSFERmations program and the Transfer Learning Community.
Week 3 is about exploring the city of Saint Louis and about finding ways to get involved with service in the city and the university community. Join the TRANSFERmation Mentors as they go to some of their favorite hang outs throughout the city. Also, join other transfer students as we provide service to the community through SLU's award winning Campus Kitchen.
Cafe Ventana Social
Join the Transfer Mentors at Cafe Ventana for an casual evening social. Cafe Ventana is located right by campus on 3919 West Pine Blvd.
Billiken Series of Pop Culture
The weekly trivia phenomenon is back! Billikens After Dark invites you and your team of four to join us for the first weekly Billiken Series of Pop Culture event. Come grab a bite to eat at Salsarita's and compete in three rounds of trivia dedicated to the biggest music, movies, television, and news from this summer! And don't forget, we track attendance and scores for the semester - so come early and come often to be eligible for the great prizes awarded in December!

Week 4 emphasizes the larger community outside of Saint Louis University. This week highlights exploring Forest Park, Grand Center, and a visit to the Saint Louis Museum of Art for a fun social karaoke night!
Afternoon in Forest Park
Meet the Transfer Mentors at 2pm at the Busch Student Center Information Desk as you will all travel together to Forest Park to enjoy an afternoon of community building, socializing, and exploring all of the things to do in Forest Park!
Flying Cow and Exploring Grand Center
Meet the Transfer Mentors at the Busch Student Center and walk together to get Flying Cow ice cream and explore Grand Center and all that it has to offer.
SLU Billikens After Dark: Live-band Karaoke
Join the Transfer Mentors at the Saint Louis Museum of Art as Billikens After Dark host Live Band Karaoke! Students will have the opportunity to sing karaoke with a live band on stage! Show off your singing talent or just go along for a great show!
Take a break from mid-term exams and enjoy company with the Transfer Mentors! There are a variety of opportunities this week to make sure that you are taking time for yourself, whether that be at a sporting event, doing service, or simply relaxing.
SLU Night at the Ballpark
The TRANSFERmations program has set aside 25 FREE tickets to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game just for you! Tickets are first come, first serve so be on the lookout for the official announcement. Make sure you pick up your tickets at the Student Involvement Center and join the Transfer Mentors as you go to cheer on the Cards!
Take a break from Mid-Term exams and join the Transfer Mentors in the Busch Student Center to relax, play games, and enjoy dinner.

Let's celebrate your accomplishments throughout your first six weeks! Join us at the Simon Rec pools - SLURuba - for an afternoon of fun in the sun! We will provide dinner and yard games!
SAB: Golf Cart Parade
Join together with your fellow transfer students to show your SLU spirit by decorating a golf cart for the annual Homecoming Golf Cart Parade! Let's keep the winning streak alive!
