I conduct experimental research in high temperature superconductors focusing on their magnetic properties. My measurements are done at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (see http://www.magnet.fsu.edu/) in Tallahassee, FL, Gainesville, FL, and Los Alamos, NM, where I have access to the highest magnetic fields available anywhere in the world.
The Los Alamos laboratory has funding for students to accompany me there and learn about superconductivity. Any sophomore or junior with grades of A, A-, or B+ in physics classes can contact me anytime. This could lead to an undergraduate project.
