- Billiken Parent Association
As a member of the Billiken Parent Association you are already part of a network of parents and family members who are similarly situated and focused on encouraging students and assisting them in having a successful and memorable collegiate career. If you are interested in getting involved on a deeper level, or feel you can contribute in ways other than what the BPA provides, the following may be options for you to consider:
Billiken Parent Association Executive Board
The Billiken Parent Association (BPA) Executive Board is designed for parents and families who would like a closer connection to the university. The Board helps to shape parent & family programs at SLU, plans and hosts events to help parents and families connect to the university and to each other, and serves as an advisory board to the university on parent and family topics and needs.
The Billiken Parent Association Executive Board will meet on campus twice a year. The meetings will be held the Satuday of Fall Welcome (August 23, 2014) and on a Saturday in the Spring, to be determined. It is expected that members come to campus for those meetings twice a year and serve as an active member of one of the Board's committees throughout the year: Events, Marketing & Communication, Membership, Parent & Family Network, Strategic Planning. Other business will be done electronically via email or conference call as needed. We also ask Board members to attend and volunteer at parent and family events throughout the year as their schedule allows.
The Billiken Parent Association Executive Board applications are closed for the 2014-2015 academic year. If you are interested in possibly serving on the Board in the future, please click here to fill out an interest form. If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com or 314-977-7326.
Office of Advancement Parent Program - This is a valuable part of ensuring the excellence and continued growth of your student's experience at Saint Louis University. The Parent Program supports the development needs of the University and is an easy and fun way to make an impact on our community while your student is here. Welcome and Preview events - There are numerous events throughout the year, in and outside of St. Louis that are focused on welcoming potential parents and students to our Billiken Family. These are ideal for parents who are enthusiastic and friendly and interested in helping parents feel secure about their decisions both before, during and after their student's transition to SLU. If you are interested in learning more about these and other avenues of involvement, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in getting more involved in any of the above ways or have an idea for involvement not already mentioned, email email@example.com and let us know.
