"Guided by the teachings of the Church on social justice, we serve others by promoting justice for the disenfranchised through advocacy, direct service, and formation, thereby creating partnerships with those who promote human dignity."

Our Christian faith extends an invitation to each of us to become God's compassion and healing in a wounded world.
Are you ready to accept that invitation? Consider JustFaith.

"Life Changing" is often how JustFaith program participants describe their experience of learning, praying, studying, listening, and challenging themselves to more deeply understand how God is calling us to serve the least among us. Based on Catholic Social Teaching, JustFaith is a program that focuses on the Gospel's call to compassion, engagement in the life of Jesus, and the call to bring about God's vision of justice in the world. Meeting weekly, groups of 8-15 people are engaged in mind, heart, and spirit exploring the challenges of following Jesus today.

New Volunteer Opportunities
Parish Service and Disaster Response Team
Looking for new opportunity to become involved in Social Ministry and SFX Community? Our Social Ministry Program grows from parishioners asking "What can I do to help?" In recent parish surveys and parish assemblies, many SFX parishioners re-affirm their desire to meet the needs of those living in and around our community. They also voice a desire to find opportunities to serve other communities in need-such as when a group of parishioners served in New Orleans after Katrina to help relief efforts. Some of those who travelled to Katrina are interested in discussing and identifying various ways our parish might offer the same service locally, regionally, and nationally through collaboration with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Solomon Project, Catholic Charities, and Red Cross. We are looking gather interest parishioners to discuss organizing a Parish Service and Disaster Response Team. We are looking for enthusiastic, interested parishioners who want to "help us help others." If this is something you or someone you know would be interested in organizing and or helping to develop, please contact Jenny at email@example.com or 314-977-7309 to express interest. We will have an initial meeting at a date and time to be determined.
