Oksoberfest is Saint Louis University's Alcohol Awareness Month. A campus wide initiative and University tradition, this past year's Oksoberfest included nationally recognized speaker Erica Upshaw, a 5K run/walk, free food and movie events, and an array of social and athletic events including Rally on Billiken Row and a Mystery Ghost Hunter Tour with professional Ghost Hunter Ross Allison. The Saint Louis University Wellness Initiative is a collaboration of University partners connected with a focus of improving the climate of health on campus. With a purpose of educating and encouraging community members to achieve greater personal wellness through exploration of activities offered to develop all six dimensions of wellness (emotional, physical, intellectual, social, occupational, spiritual). Campus Ministry provides students with faith-based programming. With a spirit of cura personalis, or care for the whole person, the Department of Campus Ministry offers opportunities for cultivating an informed faith, a commitment to social justice, and an integrated way of life. Guided by the Catholic Church and the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits, they welcome and serve students of all religious backgrounds and traditions. There are a variety of programs offered such as participation in small faith sharing groups, retreats, service projects, mass and other worship services.
Concerts, comedians, speakers, cultural events, movies, religious observances, and more...each year the Student Involvement Center collaborates with a number of organizations and offices to put on an exciting and diverse slate of activities and events. There is more to student activities than just attending the events. You can get involved with the programming boards and have a say in what activities are offered on campus. Attending events really is just some of the fun you can have with student activities. You can learn a great deal and have lots of fun in coordinating events as well.
