Teaching: Dr. Krampe joined the Saint Louis University School of Nursing in Fall, 2010. She teaches in both the traditional and accelerated baccalaureate nursing programs. She is clinical faculty for the Dedicated Education Unit model.
Practice: Dr. Krampe's practice, prior to joining the faculty of Saint Louis University, included Quality Improvement administrative positions, most recently at a Program of-All inclusive Care for the Elderly. Dr. Krampe continues to facilitate and lead dance-based therapy programs. Dr. Krampe is a Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality and a Certified Lebed Method Instructor.
Research and Scholarly Activities: Dr. Krampe's primary areas of research interest include 1) interventions to decrease fall risk for older persons, 2) movement interventions to decrease lymphedema in both young and older women, 3) translating these research findings into sustained practice, and 4) family care giving for older persons. Dr. Krampe is a new volunteer for the www.parentgiving.com expert panel and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Dr. Krampe serves on the Show-Me Falls Free Missouri Stare-Wide Coalition and is a Doody Book Reviewer. Dr. Krampe is a member of the Gerontological Society of America, Sigma Theta Tau International, and the Midwest Nursing Research Society.
