New Online Student Personnel Administration Certificate Program Announced
ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis University's department of educational leadership and higher education has announced the addition of a new 18-hour online post-baccalaureate certificate program in student personnel administration.
The program is intended for professionals interested in student services positions within higher education, as well as those seeking to become more knowledgeable about the field of student development and students services offered in the college setting.
One of the few certificate programs in the country focused on student personnel administration, the program addresses areas of student personnel administration, college student demographics and trends, the college environment, disabilities, legal and ethical issues, and college student development. The courses are designed to teach participants ways to manage programs in higher education and serve the college student population.
The program, which began course offerings in August 2010, is 100 percent online, with one online class offered each semester, including summer. Classes may be applied to the University's masters in student personnel administration degree program. Applicants must have obtained a bachelor's degree in order to apply.
