Michael Vaughn received his Ph.D. from Washington University in 2005 and has quickly established a nationally recognized research agenda in the areas of adolescent antisocial behavior, substance abuse, and violence. Current research areas are as follows:
1. Etiology, prevention, and policy of adolescent substance abuse, mental health disorders, psychopathic personality, and violence.
2. Integrated biosocial models of human behavior with application to drug use and violence.
3. Epidemiology and etiology of antisocial behavior.
4. Synthesizing prevention and intervention outcome literature utilizing systematic methods (e.g., meta-analytic techniques) to enhance evidence-based practice and offer perspective to policy.
