Graduate and Professional Degree Programs
If you are interested in making a difference in public services, our educational programs will meet your needs.
The Mid-year Graduation Celebration will be held in December to honor students who will be graduating in August or December.
The University Commencement Ceremony is held in May to honor all graduates from the past year. Prospective August candidates are welcome at this ceremony, but their names will not appear until the following year in the Commencement booklet.
Participation in Pre-commencement and Commencement Ceremonies
Permission to participate in the May pre-commencement and graduation ceremonies is based on the date of your conferral of degree. If your degree has been conferred at any point after the previous May graduation, you are encouraged to attend either the mid-winter celebration in December (if applicable) and/or the next May pre-commencement and graduation ceremonies.
If you are finishing your master or doctoral degree in the spring semester or summer term, and have not submitted all relevant materials to the candidacy advisor in time to have your degree conferred by the May conferral date, you may apply to Rachel Philippone, (firstname.lastname@example.org) in Graduate Education to participate in the ceremonies. Requests are due by April 1. In your request, you should state the timeline for finalizing all materials related to your degree. In general, if you can show that you will be finished by the August degree conferral date (usually mid-August), you will be granted permission to participate in the May pre-commencement graduation ceremonies.
Diplomas will be mailed to the address you specified on your graduation application. They are not available for pickup.
