Edward P. Weiss, Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of nutrition and dietetics, is seeking volunteers for a research study involving weight loss through diet and exercise.
The purpose of the study is to compare the effects of diet, exercise, and a combination of both on disease risk and markers of aging.
Diet and exercise counseling is included free of charge to participants.
Volunteers must be non-exercising adults, 45-65 years old, mildly to moderately overweight (BMI 25.0-29.9 kg/m2), free of major diseases including diabetes and non-smokers.
