The second Midwest Bow Echo Workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, March 8-9, at Il Monastero. The event is free and parking is available on the lot adjoining the building.
Bow echos are thunderstorms with arc-like sructures that can produce severe wind damage and occasionally tornadoes.
The two-day workshop is intended for operational meteorologists, university scholars and students and the research community to share findings that will enhance the understanding of bow echoes.
The workshop is cosponsored by the National Weather Service and the department of earth and atmospheric sciences.
