Assistant Director for the Student Involvement Center
The Assistant Director for the Student Involvement Center will work with a variety of department and divisional initiatives, but will take the lead for specific roles and responsibilities. The position responsibilities may adjust to reflect new university priorities and goals in the Division of Student Development. Below is a short description of the primary responsibilities for the Assistant Director position. These are subject to change.
The Assistant Director oversees the Servant Leadership Programs Model and collaborates with others on campus and in the St. Louis community for the continued development of the division’s servant leadership framework. Examples of these programs include but not limited to are iLEAD, Leadership and Service Awards, and Bright Idea Grants. The Assistant Director has oversight for the Fraternity/Sorority Life community with specific responsibilities with Greek Education on critical risk management issues such as hazing, alcohol, sexual assault/violence, and diversity/inclusion. The Assistant Director also oversees student organization conduct process including the Greek Conduct. The Assistant Director serves as the liaison with the Student Conduct and Incident Debrief meeting to represent the Student Involvement Center and assure timely follow up. The Assistant Director assists with the Student Organization management system (SLU Groups) and the program review process for student groups. The Assistant Director assists with the department strategic assessment plan as well as helping to shape departmental goals and strategic priorities. The Assistant Director will lead the marketing and outreach initiative for the center and website development. The Assistant Director will supervise staff and help in the development of professional and student leaders/staff that work with the department. Other duties assigned.
