University Sponsored Event:
An event or activity hosted by a University department, school, college, division, institute or center that is held in conjunction or association with the education, health care or community service missions of the University. These events may not interfere with, or divert space or other resources from the scheduled programs and activities of the University. Examples:
Departmental conferences, lectures, seminars, round table discussions, meetings, receptions, dinners, orientations, board meetings, Dean's breakfast series, certification programs, review courses, retirement parties. Activities/Events:
Great Issues Lectures Series, Women's Program Council, Annual Flanagan Lecture, Body Donation Ceremony, Mock Jury Study, Service Leadership Reception, Social Service Career/Practicum Fair 99, Science, Engineering and Aviation Job Fair, Finance Fair, HIV/AIDS Vaccine Awareness Day, Women & Leadership Conference, Annual Leopold Marcus Award Competition, Flight Instructor Refresher Clinic, Open Doors, sorority/fraternity chapter meetings, etc. Parking Fee:
An event, activity or fundraiser that is formally co-sponsored by a University department, school, college, division, etc., with an external organization or company. These events must not interfere with, or divert space or other resources from the scheduled programs and activities of the University.
The sponsoring department is required to coordinate the planning of the event with the Scheduling office and a departmental representative must be present at the event. The sponsoring department is responsible for any damages incurred. The departmental representative will be involved in the billing and collection of all fees, i.e., parking, room rental, damages, etc. These events must receive approval from the Office of University Event Services/University Scheduling. Activities/Events:
Bi-State Infectious Diseases Conference, Neighbor to Neighbor Conference, United Nations Program, Missouri Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Religious Education Institute, St. Louis Literary Awards, Career Testing (LSAT/MCAT/GMAT, etc.), company information sessions (student job placement), ARCH's Workshop, Gateway Greek Council, National Association of Social Worker's Banquet, Melody of Praise Concert, Associates of Saint Louis University Libraries, Human Rights Campaign Comedy Night, Downtown Kiwanis Club Luncheon, City of Hope Workout for Hope, Drury Inn Sports Challenge & Auction, etc. Parking Fee:
Groups use or rent space for their organization's events, meetings, conferences or for social activities. These events are not formally sponsored by a University office, school, college, department, division, institute or center and must receive approval from the Office of University Event Services/University Scheduling. These events must not interfere with, or divert space or other resources from the scheduled programs and activities of the University. Activities/Events:
social gatherings, social clubs, religious events not directly sponsored by the College Church, non-profit groups, school districts, lecture companies, local companies, community organizations, institutional neighbors, etc . Parking Fee:
$2.00/hr or $6.00/day
Events that require the utilization of residence hall space. In addition, these groups may rent other services and/or facilities. Examples:
Groups which do not require residence hall space are defined as either University sponsored events, co-sponsored events or non-university events and will receive the designated fee as stated above. Parking Fee:
