The spring capstone presentations from students completing the medical humanities program certificate are scheduled from 1-2:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, in Adorjan 142.
A question-and-answer session will follow the students' presentations.
Light refreshments will be served.
Three graduating seniors will present research and narratives they have been working on over the course of at least two semesters. They also will receive a certificate for their accomplishments. The speakers and working titles are as follows:
- Christina Erhart, "A Whispering Cancer: Breaking the Silence Surrounding Ovarian Cancer"
- Jessica Modock, "Memories of My Mother: How the Social Construction of Cancer Influences Women Diagnosed with Breast Cancer"
- Kara Pretzlaff, "Breaking Down Barriers: The Importance of Physician-Patient Relationships"
