Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Law
The Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Law (CISL) advances legal theory and promotes interdisciplinary legal scholarship by facilitating the integration of insights from other academic disciplines with law and policy research. The Center provides research and funding assistance and supports collaboration between law faculty and faculty in other disciplines. CISL also publishes and distributes information about the cutting edge interdisciplinary research undertaken by our faculty. To better prepare SLU Law students as they enter an increasingly interdisciplinary legal world, CISL promotes curriculum developments that highlight the symbiotic relationships between law and other fields. CISL also sponsors monthly faculty lunches and a variety of programs that bring together scholars from various departments at SLU and around the country.
