Merck Emergency Loans
The Merck Emergency Loan is a short-term emergency loan fund, established through the generosity of the Merck Drug Company. The fund is designed to assist housestaffers at Saint Louis University Hospital with unexpected expenses. The loan funds must be repaid in full prior to the housestaffer’s last contracted day. The loan is interest-free but a service fee will be added to the principal borrowed amount. Payments will be made through payroll deductions.
Individuals may apply for a Merck Loan by visiting the Office of Student Financial Services, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is located in the School of Medicine Room C120; no appointment is necessary.
