Professional skills courses (previously listed as limited seat enrollment course). All professional skills courses will be given a priority registration assignment similar to the way bar and other doctrinal courses are either a 2L, 3L or part-time priority. Students interested in these course will register for such classes through Banner.
Seminars. Students will now register for seminars through Banner, as you would other courses during the registration priority times. However, a new priority registration time will occur to make sure that students graduating in the next academic year(L3, D4, P4, T3 and LLM) who have not already taken a seminar, will have a priority to register for a seminar to fulfill that graduation requirement. Graduating students will be registering for seminars on Friday, March 25 from Noon-12:50 p.m. During this time only students graduating in 2011-12 will be able to register and will only be able to register for seminars. Third year students will have their priority registration time for all other courses on Wednesday, March 30 from Noon-8:00 p.m.
Part-time students (P2, P3, and P4) will have the opportunity to register for seminars on Saturday, March 26 from 10:00 a.m.-Noon, when registering for part-time priority courses.
Second year full-time students (L2, D2, D3, LT2) will have the opportunity to register for seminars on Tuesday, March 29 from Noon-12:50 p.m., when registering for 2L priority courses.
As part of this process for seminar registration, please be aware that if you have already taken a seminar (or are currently taking a seminar this semester), you will not be able to register yourself for a seminar for the Fall 2011 semester through Banner during your priority registration time. However, if you are interested in taking a seminar you will be able to place yourself on the wait list through Banner for that seminar during the open registration period beginning on Monday, April 11. If seats are or become available in that seminar, you will be allowed to enroll yourself in that seminar as you would for any other wait listed course.
