Faith-Based Preparedness Conference
A panel will discuss "Preparing Our Faith Based Communities for Disasters: What and How Part I."
The 2011 Faith Based Conference is sponsored by the Heartland Center for Public Health Preparedness, Saint Louis University School of Public Health and the St. Louis Region Faith Based Partners.
The conference will provide basic information on emergency response and preparedness; churches developing personal and family plans; guiding them through the process of conducting functional needs assessments within their congregations, solidifying the roles and responsibilities they want to take on during an emergency event, and offering additional training that will assist them in being prepared to respond during such an event.
When: The conference will be held Thursday, June 16.
