The College for Public Health & Social Justice is a new academic unit that will combine SLU's accredited Schools of Public Health and Social Work. The College will become fully operational on July 1, 2013.
At the Saint Louis University's College for Public Health & Social Justice, we are dedicated to the pursuit of truth for the greater glory of God and for the service of humanity.
While the School of Social Work and School of Public Health were previously separate entities, combining the fields of public health and social work into this new college provides a wider breadth of education and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration.
The college is the only Catholic, Jesuit college for public health in the nation and the only accredited college for public health in Missouri. The college is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health and is one of only 50 fully accredited schools of public health. The School of Social Work within the College for Public Health & Social Justice has been continuously accredited by the Council for Social Work Education since 1952.
