Studying abroad can be a life changing experience, and we want to assure that you continue to make the most of your experience as you return home and resume life in the United States. Returning home is often both an exciting and difficult experience. Please know that that the Study Abroad Office is here to help you readjust to life back in the United States as returning global citizens.
As returning study abroad students, we truly value the global experiences and perspectives that you bring back to campus.

Welcome Home Global Billikens Reception:
Celebrate your global experiences, meet other returning study abroad students, and share your study abroad adventures! enjoy a few of your favorite St. Louis specialties, hear what is new on and around campus, and explore the opportunities to remain active in the SLU global community.
International Photo Contest:
Submit your favorite study abroad photos and share your global experiences and your global passion with the SLU community!
Share your experiences with other returning study abroad students and address some of the issues you may face as you return and reintegrate back into life on campus. These sessions will address issues such as: re-entry and reverse culture shock, marketing your study abroad experience, and maintaining foreign language proficiency.
Study Abroad Peer Mentor Program:
Volunteer with the study abroad office and become a peer mentor! Meet with future global billikens and provide a valuable resource for students who are interested in studying abroad. As peer mentors, returned study abroad students volunteer during study abroad events, hold walk-in office hours to mentor potential study abroad students, and promote the study abroad experience on campus. The requested time commitment is about 2 hours per week.
International Ambassador Passport Program:
Keep the study abroad spirit alive and help the international students studying abroad at Saint Louis University! As an International Ambassador, you will participate in a variety of study abroad and international student events to assist students with the acculturation and integration process.
